#DailyUI Challenge
Keeping the creative juices flowing during a global pandemic.
Overview
The #DailyUI Challenge is a 100 day challenge where designers are tasked with designing a new element or screen everyday. While stuck at home during the Covid-19 pandemic I thought this would be a great way to keep the creative juices flowing and polish my visual design skills. These are some of the highlights
Timeline: 100 days, Ongoing
Tools: Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD
Goals: Hone visual design skills, experiment with color & typography, find new ways to create user centric designs

Credit Card Checkout - #002
Simple credit card checkout for a Hawaiian shirt store. I included a progress bar and confirmation checks to ensure that users are aware of which step they are in the process.
User Profile - #006
I decided to use this challenge to design a user profile screen for one of my previous projects - Lonely Traveler which is a forum based mobile app for travelers. Key components were the user’s hometown, post & comment history and messaging system to encourage interaction among the forum community.

Boarding Pass - #024
Inspired by a trip I took to Okinawa in 2018. The color palette is bright to evoke the feeling of seeing the blue Okinawan ocean for the first time while the plane was landing. The biggest challenge was making the boarding pass code both easy to access for the passenger and easy to scan for the staff.
Hotel Booking- #067
Hotel booking page for a resort. The challenge was including all the necessary info (reviews, amenities, etc) and the necessary components for checkout (check in & out dates, number of rooms) without making the page look too cluttered. It’s important to know what your hotel looks like so I made sure that users were easy viewing access to pictures of rooms and amenities.
